Kerry Saunders Receives TCREW Impact Award

RALEIGH, NC - May 8, 2014 - NAI Carolantic Realty congratulates their Vice President & Marketing Director, Kerry Saunders, who was recently chosen to be the recipient of the Triangle CREW Impact Award. As TCREW's highest honor, the award is presented to an individual who has made a significant contribution to, or who has had a significant positive influence on the Triangle's commercial real estate industry. The award was presented at the Triangle Commercial Real Estate Women's (TCREW) Annual Champion Awards luncheon held on May 1st. Over 350 business leaders attended the event held at the Embassy Suites in Cary, North Carolina.

In an article written by Triangle Business Journal reporter Mandy Jones-Hoyle she indicated Kerry has touched on and played an integral role in the growth and development of almost every association and organization affiliated with the commercial real estate industry. She has also been the driving force behind NAI Carolantic's Annual Triangle Commercial Real Estate Conference which has grown to more than 1,700 attendees and is held at the PNC Arena every January.

By receiving the prestigious award, she joins the ranks of such industry giant as Willie York, Steve Stroud, Claude McKinney, Vernon Malone, Craig Davis, John Kane, Ron Gibson, Greg Hatem, Jim Goodmon, Greg Sanchez, Billie Redmond, Smedes York, Carter Worthy, John Atkins and Bill Kalkoff. She is only the third woman to have received the award in 16 years. Judges for the Champion Awards included Adrienne Cole, senior vice president and executive director of Wake County Economic Development; Ted Conner, senior vice president of economic development for the Greater Durham Chamber of Commerce; Lee Anne Nance, executive vice president of the Research Triangle Regional Partnership; Brian Reece, managing partner of Karnes Research Co; and Liz Rooks, executive vice president and chief operating officer of the Research Triangle Foundation.

"Kerry is a crucial member of our NAI Carolantic team. She has an incredible work ethic, tremendous integrity and is very professional in all that she does for our firm. She has also made significant contributions to NAI Global serving on the Leadership Board of the NAI Global Women's Alliance and was previously the NAI Global Vice Chair of the Marketing Council. She is highly regarded among other commercial real estate professionals and business leaders throughout the Triangle and North Carolina. Frankly, without her, this company wouldn't be what it is today," said Chairman Steve Stroud.

Ms. Saunders has been recognized as a Women in Business Award winner by TBJ, awarded the 2010 William P. Eyerman Award from TCAR for making a significant impact within the commercial real estate industry, and recognized by TCREW for its Best Professional Commercial Real Estate Service award in 2009. She was also the TCREW Woman of the Year Award winner in 1999.
